Hooroo is an Australian slang word which menas “see you next time”. We use the letter “O” from this word in the logotype as an visual interpretation of an iconic scissor that could be perfectly adapted by our client, Hooroo Barber Shop. The meaning of the brand’s name represents what the brand stands for: quality services that transform every customers into old friends.
We have used two bold blues in this project and have used a beautiful light turquoise blue, which has not been used extensively in the barber shop industry, to bring a new look and vibe to the hooroo brand. A sophisticated, decent, yet fun service experience was the inspiration for the visual identity system. We chose the Australian slang expression HOOROO to be the brand name for our client, and to emphasise this unique contemporary attitude to life that our client wish to deliver. Refined, but not overly polished. Decent, but not rigid. Fun, but not too frivolous. This is the project's unique take on the traditional barber industry.
